Ideal Aerosmith has been a steadfast contributor to inertial standards development through its participation in the IEEE/AESS Gyro & Accelerometer Panel (GAP). The panel’s valuable work led to the recent release of the 1293-2018 standard, IEEE Standard Specification Format Guide and Test Procedure for Linear Single Axis, Nongyroscopic Accelerometers. Other standards (some new, some updated) are also in the works with Ideal Aerosmith as a contributor.
