Replacing the control electronics of an old rate table or centrifuge system with
a new generation digital controller and modern servo amplifier system is a sound
investment.
The frame structure, motors, encoders, and bearings of most table systems have a
much longer useful life than the control electronics. Thus, an electronics upgrade
can be a cost-effective alternative to the purchase of a new system.
An Ideal Aerosmith controller and servo amplifier upgrade can provide several benefits:
- Improved reliability and supportability
- PC interface capabilities via GPIB
- Improved accuracy, acceleration, and tracking performance
Inertial Navigation Test Systems
Ideal Aerosmith will service, refurbish and upgrade our own line of simulators,
as well as motion simulators, air bearings tables, positioning tables and rate tables
built by other manufacturers, such as Carco and Contraves®. Some models include
the Contraves® Model 800, 57CD or 53M Test Tables.
We can provide upgrades for all existing controllers by implementing the
AERO 4000™ Control System. Our AERO 4000™ Controller is built
upon commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software platforms to minimize
cost and delivery schedules, as well as to provide Ideal’s customers with a product
that does not lock them into proprietary technology and single-source part vendors.
It is designed to be a universal controller that can replace all older table controllers
from various manufacturers.
Many of the existing tables have mechanical systems with an operational life of
20+ years. However, due to the life cycle of various electrical components, the
controllers usually have a service life of approximately 10 years. The field proven
AERO 4000 TM Controller is expected to have a service life of 20+ years and incorporates
a number of COTS components to provide a migration path for future upgrades.
We have the following options/services available for table systems or centrifuges
built by Contraves®, Carco, Genisco, Goerz or other manufacturers.
- AERO 4000 TM Controller Upgrade
- Extended maintenance / service contracts
- Clean and re-grease bearings
- Clean armature / replace motor brushes
- Replace / recondition Bearings
- New consoles / cabinets
- New servo amplifier

Please contact us with the manufacturer’s name
and model number of the system that you are interested in servicing, upgrading or
refurbishing and we will be pleased to assist you.
Flight Motion Simulation Systems
Ideal Aerosmith will service, refurbish and upgrade our own line of flight motion
simulators, as well as motion simulators manufactured by other manufacturers such
as Carco and Contraves®.
We can provide upgrades for all existing controllers such as the obsolete MPACS
& MADES controllers by implementing the AERO 4000™
Control System. Our AERO 4000™ Controller is built upon COTS hardware
and software platforms to minimize cost and delivery schedules, as well as to provide
Ideal’s customers with a product that does not lock them into proprietary technology
