AERO 4000™ Motion Controller

AERO 4000 The summer of 2006 marked the launch of Ideal Aerosmith's 4th generation of controller, the AERO 4000™, the most advanced and capable digital servo controller on the market today. The AERO 4000™ is used with Ideal's high-precision rate table and centrifuge systems, particularly for HWIL applications. It can also be used for upgrading aging motion table systems by replacing obsolete or unsupported controllers.

The AERO 4000™ provides the user with the fastest servo update rate, best design for support life, and the most convenient remote host interface capabilities. The AERO 4000™ can interface with Inductosyn®, synchro/resolver, and optical encoder feedback systems, control brush-type or brushless motors as well as hydraulic actuators, and uses current PCI architecture, not the obsolete ISA or PC/104 buses that you'll find in other controllers. Refer to the AERO 4000 Advantages Sheet for more information, or contact Ideal Aerosmith to get much more detailed information.

1583 Series Table System

1583 The 1583 Series is a Three-Axis Table System primarily used for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing of "smart" munitions or projectiles, particularly those with high roll velocity requirements. It is a cost-effective alternative to using larger electric or hydraulic three-axis systems that were designed for much larger missile payloads. There are two 1583 Series designs. On the Model 1583, the tabletop is located slightly in front of the pitch axis. The Model 1583F incorporates an offset to allow for rotation about a point above the tabletop and base of the test package. The system is available with the AERO 832 Controller, or for high performance applications, our AERO 4000.

PTS-3500B Weather Radar Test System

PTS-3500B The Ideal Aerosmith PTS-3500B is our latest generation test system for automated return-to-service testing of Rockwell Collins digital Weather Radar Systems. The PTS-3500B is a PC based test system that controls rack mounted GPIB instrumentation and uses Rockwell Collins ADAT test programs to significantly reduce Weather Radar test times.

In addition to the automated Weather Radar R/T tests, the PTS-3500 facilitates manual testing of the Weather Radar Indicators, Antenna Pedestals, and Control Panels per the CMM test procedures.

The following table provides a list of Rockwell Collins LRU part numbers that the PTS-3500B supports.

Agcam for the International Space Station

AgCam for Internation Space Station The Center for People and the Environment (CP&E) at the University of North Dakota (www.umac.org) took delivery of an Ideal Aerosmith single-axis precision rate table to enable optical performance testing of its Agricultural Camera (AgCam). AgCam, a multi-spectral imaging system being built by students and faculty on the campus of UND, will be installed onboard the International Space Station and used in precision agriculture research and other remote sensing applications. The system uses a line-scan camera that relies on relative motion between the imager and its target. Testing of AgCam required the precise rate control capabilities of the Ideal Aerosmith table to accurately simulate orbital rates and determine imager spatial performance capabilities.

Support

Extend the life of your Contraves® 57CD Motion Table

Click for larger image Relying on an aging Model 57CD Dual-Axis Test Table System?
Support for these systems has become increasingly difficult because of aging and obsolescence issues related to the electronic components. This often makes the servicing of the controller difficult and sometimes impossible. The mechanical components however; including the structure, motors, and bearings still have a useful life.

Does this sound familiar? Looking for an alternative? Now there is one...
Upgrade your Contraves® Model 57CD with an Ideal Aerosmith AERO 4000™ Motion Controller.

Why should this upgrade option be considered?
Ideal has developed a leading edge controller that is helping customers avoid the costs of full system replacement. The AERO 4000™ Motion Controller can breathe new life into a tired machine by improving performance, providing new features, increasing reliability and extending the support life cycle. All of these add up to a better test solution with reduced downtime and operating costs. Need more than a controller upgrade? Ideal can also service or replace other major components of your system including the amplifiers, motors and sliprings. Ideal is also committed to reducing downtime during the upgrade process and can perform the upgrade at the customer's facility if requested.

For more information on upgrading your Model 57CD, 57CD-2, and/or 57CD-X built by Contraves or Carco please contact us at 218-773-2455, or email at sales@idealaero.com.
