Cost Effective UAV Hardware-in-the-Loop Flight Motion Simulation System
Simulate low dynamic UAV flight profiles with the Ideal Aerosmith Model 1573-FMS Three-axis Motion Simulator. The system can be driven directly from Flight Simulation computers that output real-time pitch, roll, and yaw data at frame rates up to 256 Hz via RS-232 or IEEE-488 interfaces. The 1573-FMS system features typical bandwidths of 25 Hz in roll, 12 Hz in pitch, and 7 Hz in yaw. The standard system allows unlimited rotation in the yaw axis, and +/- 185 degrees of freedom in pitch and roll axes.
New Generation AERO 4000 Digital Motion Controller© is Ideal for Motion Table Upgrades and Controller Replacements
Representing the culmination of Ideal Aerosmith knowledge and experience, with forward-thinking electrical, packaging, and software design, Ideal Aerosmith introduces the new AERO 4000 Motion Controller© as the next leading controller for the inertial testing and flight motion simulation industry. The AERO 4000 is the perfect upgrade / replacement for older MPACS, DR3100/3200 MADES, 403, 404, 405D, and other out-of-production motion controllers.

Managing Test System Obsolescence
Obsolescence has become a major issue facing the military and commercial avionics test system users as they try to keep their test systems operational for the life-cycle of the products being tested. The cause of the problem is obsolete components, vanishing vendors, and the loss of test system design knowledge. Particularly challenging is the limited life of RF and optical test instrumentation, which quickly depletes their availability in the used equipment market.
Avionics Test Systems
Ideal Aerosmith continues to expand its relationships with avionics manufacturers to develop, support, and modernize test systems for both the manufacturers support centers and their airline customers. These test systems provide functional test of a wide range of avionics, including:
Test Electro-Optic Systems with 2 and 3-Axis Precision Motion & Positioning Systems
Ideal Aerosmith has designed a broad array of 2 and 3-axis positioning systems for testing military Electro-optic seekers, FLIR pods and cameras, targeting systems, etc. Typically these systems are mechanically customized to suit unique UUT test requirements including unobstructed Field of View and access for liquid coolant lines. Often, sinusoidal motion or broadband white noise motion (for frequency response and power spectral density tests) are required and are easily simulated with Ideal's motion controllers.
