Ideal Aerosmith, Inc. receives Rockwell Collins contract
December 8, 2003
Today Ideal Aerosmith, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a contract from Rockwell Collins to build a Dynamic Hot Bench to support their Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) contract with the US Special Operations Forces for avionics upgrades on the MH-47, MH-60 and A/MH-6 helicopter fleets. The Dynamic Hot Bench, which includes a cockpit mockup, will allow the avionics to be connected as if in the aircraft, allowing real-time system simulation and dynamic integration testing. The system will ultimately be delivered to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) for use in cockpit systems familiarization training and maintenance support.
Rockwell Collins selected Ideal Aerosmith in a competitive tender based on Ideal's ability to provide the necessary technical skills, experienced electrical assembly labor, and delivery commitment.
"Ideal is excited to be working with Rockwell Collins on this important program, and we look forward to delivering a high quality system to support our Special Forces." said Lonnie Rogers, president of Ideal Aerosmith.
Ideal Aerosmith is a leading manufacturer of custom aerospace test solutions and precision motion control test systems. It is a privately held company with headquarters in East Grand Forks MN and offices in Phoenix, AZ, Redmond WA, Overland Park, KS, Cromwell, CT, and Pomona, CA.
