Ideal Delivers SATCOM Test System to Dassault

 In September representatives from Dassault Falcon Jet of Little Rock, AR traveled to Ideal's Test Services facility in Phoenix, AZ to inspect and take delivery of a SATCOM (Satellite Communication) Test Bench that was conceived, designed, and built by Ideal Aerosmith. The Test Bench will be used to configure, test, and troubleshoot SATCOM, telecom PBX, and office-in-the-sky (network routers, fax machines, handsets, etc.) avionics systems prior to installation in Falcon business jets. Having this capability will reduce the time to configure and troubleshoot these installations on the aircraft itself, thereby speeding Dassault's delivery process.
Ideal engineers worked closely with Dassault engineers to define the test bench capability. Ideal then conceived a flexible test system that can be easily reconfigured to test any one of numerous possible equipment configurations. The system tests SATCOM transceivers from any of three vendors, plus Communications Management Units (CMUs) and Network Routers from several other vendors.
This project showcased Ideal's proven skills of listening to and working with our customers, systems engineering, project management, and quality workmanship.
