Ideal Aerosmith is pleased to announce that Dave Cross has accepted a position as Manufacturing & Service Engineer. Dave has over 30 years of experience in the Inertial Guidance Test and Flight Motion Simulation Test industry in design, manufacturing, and assembly for new systems as well as for repairs and upgrades of existing systems. In addition to being one of the most highly regarded mechanical assembly and precision alignment specialists in the industry, Dave also has held service, manufacturing management and design positions at Contraves (formerly known as Goerz Optical Company) and, most recently, Acutronic. During his time at Contraves, Dave worked on Optical Tracking Systems and later served as the manager of the Hydraulic Flight Motion Simulator Assembly Area for 7 years. Dave brings to Ideal, in-depth and hands-on knowledge of Hydraulic Flight Motion Simulators, HWIL Systems, and a wide range of rate and motion tables, centrifuges, and air-bearings.

With his mechanical background, which is complimented by extensive knowledge of hydraulic and electric systems, Dave will be an important addition to Ideal Aerosmith's excellent customer support team. Our customers will greatly benefit from Dave's expertise for their service and installation requirements. In addition to his customer support role, Dave will be a technical advisor on new designs and will work with engineering and manufacturing to create cost-effective design enhancements. Dave has a proven track record of using his extensive knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes to reduce both design time and manufacturing cost. "We are very excited about the experience and knowledge that Dave is bringing to Ideal," Barb Shultz, Senior Vice President of Operations, said. "The knowledge he can share with us will improve our manufacturing operations and enhance our customer service and support, as well."

Dave, along with Dennis Whitehead whose hiring was announced yesterday, will be joining the experienced team that is located at Ideal Aerosmith's Pittsburgh, PA facility.
