Motion Simulation Test Systems
Ideal is committed to manufacturing the highest performance rotational
rate tables, positioning tables, centrifuges, and motion controllers in the industry.
Our Motion Simulation Test Systems are designed to test single and multi-axis inertial
sensors or systems such as Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), Attitude Heading Reference
Systems (AHRS), MEMS inertial sensors, accelerometers, flight control systems, Inertial
Measurement Units (IMU), and platform stabilization devices.
Typical test applications for equipment in this category include:
- Rate and/or Position testing for Single-Axis rate sensors or accelerometers
- Inertial testing of multi-axis inertial systems, packages or clusters (MEMS, spinning mass, FOG or RLG-based)
- Multi-axis position testing for electro-optic and FLIR system sensors
- High-speed spin fixtures for guided munitions
- Cost-effective Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Flight Motion System for low-dynamic applications (UAVs, launch vehicles, satellites)
- Vehicle motion profile simulation for testing stabilized platform devices such as targeting optics or satellite antenna units
Automatic Motion Simulation Table Systems
are used to introduce rate, position and/or acceleration stimuli to a test article.
These table systems are available in one, two or three-axis configurations. A wide
variety of table systems are available to meet our customer’s varied requirements
for accuracy, dynamic performance, payload size and budget.
Centrifuge Systems are designed to apply a
large centrifugal force to a payload. While this can also be accomplished with a
Single-Axis motion simulation table system, a centrifuge is typically required for
applications with larger payloads, and/or higher G requirements.
Each Ideal Aerosmith table system includes a digital Motion
Table Controller. Ideal has multiple models available to fit different applications,
but the higher performance table systems are integrated with our AERO 4000™ Controller,
the industry’s most advanced digital servo motion controller.
In addition to the automatic table systems, Ideal manufactures a line of
Manual Table Systems, which offer a cost-effective solution for some applications
that require non-automated position testing, or a non-magnetic test environment.
