Ideal Aerosmith Single Axis test tables provide precise angular position, rate and acceleration stimuli for development and production testing of inertial components and systems.

For most systems, Ideal offers integral temperature chambers and/or vacuum chambers so that units under test can be burned-in and characterized over temperature or pressure ranges.

The Single Axis Product Selection Matrix allows you to easily compare the primary specifications for each of the single axis table systems. Please note that almost every system that Ideal manufactures can be customized to meet a customer’s specific requirements.

HYDRAULIC VANE ROTARY ACTUATORS

HYDRAULIC VANE ROTARY ACTUATOR
The HVRS and HVRD line of single and double vane hydraulic actuators were developed to be servo-quality actuators, capable of achieving extreme torque and superior hydraulic stiffness. Due to a very low friction-to-torque ratio, axes using these actuators have been able to achieve arc-second positioning accuracy. An additional benefit of these actuators is a high torque-to-weight ratio which stems from their historical application on multi-axis dynamic motion tables. The large load capacities of the integrated bearings allow for no additional axis bearings in most applications. Ideal actuators are designed to provide precision performance and reliable operation with only minimal preventative maintenance.

HWIL testing typically requires the implementation of a two-axis target motion simulator such as the Ideal Aerosmith Model 2452H. This system is configured with hydraulic actuator drives to ensure operational and performance compatibility with Ideal Aerosmith’s Model 2453H-ER Three-Axis Hydraulic Flight Motion Simulator (FMS). This two-axis configuration may be mounted to a separate base or to a base that is common to the three-axis system. The conventional TMS with a gimbal configuration provides azimuth and elevation target motion and all axes intersect at a common point to eliminate parallax with the missile seeker gimbal system located at the 3X FMS intersection of axes.
