ISO 9001:2000
Ideal Aerosmith is committed to upholding the highest standards of product development and manufacturing quality. Ideal's Quality Management System received its initial ISO 9001 in 1999, then received the updated ISO 9001:2000 certification for its East Grand Forks and Phoenix production facilities in 2003. Geared for the demanding quality assurance requirements of its major aerospace and defense industry customers, Ideal's quality system procedures encompass the entire enterprise process, including:
- Bidding and sales processes
- Engineering specification and design processes
- Procurement and material handling processes
- Manufacturing processes
- Final testing, inspection, and calibration
Ideal's disciplined use of Corrective / Preventative Action Process is another element in the commitment to continuous quality improvement. Non-conformances, customer feedback, internal audit results, and employee inputs are all formally and regularly reviewed and appropriate measures are taken to correct prints, improve processes, and eliminate non-value added effort.
