Ideal has the technical and administrative infrastructure in place to meet ALL of
its customer’s requirements. Ideal has set up and maintains complete product development
and manufacturing facilities that match comprehensive design and build capabilities
and processes. With more than 70,000 square feet of space and a full complement
of engineering and assembly equipment and tooling, Ideal has the capacity to rapidly
satisfy virtually any requirement in our core areas of expertise to the highest
standards of timeliness and quality.
Ideal is an ANSI/ASQC ISO 9001 certified company with a worldwide footprint. It
is engaged in a continuous quality enhancement approach through its Six Sigma improvement
implementation. By strictly adhering to these processes, Ideal delivers the highest
quality products and services, but there are always requirements for warranty, periodic
service, and repair support that must be met. In addition, Ideal’s personnel are
trained and certified within the domain of their expertise. Examples of this include
IPC-A-610 for assemblers and inspectors.
In 2003, Ideal implemented the Six Sigma methodology in all its business functions
to help achieve superior results for its customers. Supported by the highest level
of management, Ideal's implementation of Six Sigma, has been and continues to be
a driving force for increased efficiency, improvement in operating practices, and
innovation by employees.
This Six Sigma Methodology has evolved into a unique continuous improvement process
at Ideal that revolves around problem solving practices. Ideal uses a team approach
to find the root cause and implement countermeasures. The methods used to gather
data, such as soliciting feedback from internal and external customers, and creating
the correct measurements are key to the success of the problem solving practices.
Our Corporate values and behaviors support and reward employee involvement in this
process.
Another part of the unique continuous improvement process is the use of key measurements
we call Success Factors. These Success Factors are measurements of the various processes
that support Ideal’s reliability and growth. We rely on these monthly measurements
to drive results.
As a normal course of business, Ideal provides out-of-warranty support as well as
on-going support for the products that it designs, manufactures and/or delivers.
In addition to the standard warranty requirements, a wide range of services, including
tailored support contracts, proximity and on-site engineering support, training
and remote services, can be customized and are offered to meet specific engineering,
production or depot activities. The level of support is determined by the product
complexity as well as the geographical responsiveness required for the deployed
product. In addition, Ideal maintains in-house capability which provides a ready-for-issue
repair cycle for all Ideal manufactured products.
